Edmonton Uniting Church welcomes enquiries for the use of our hall and facilities for suitable community, church, family and not for profit activities.
1. Submit an Enquiry
All hall hire enquiries must be submitted through the church online form . Please provide:
- your name and organisation
- type of event or activity
- preferred date and time
- expected attendance
- spaces or equipment requested
- contact details
Submitting an enquiry does not confirm a booking.
2. Initial Review
The Secretary or nominated Hall Hire Coordinator will review the enquiry to make sure:
- the proposed activity is suitable for the church site
- the requested date is available
- the booking aligns with church values, safety requirements and venue conditions
Additional information may be requested before the enquiry proceeds.
3. Site Inspection
Before a booking is confirmed, prospective hirers may be asked to attend a site inspection. This allows both parties to confirm:
- suitability of the venue
- access needs
- furniture and room setup
- use of kitchen, PA, data projector, clavinova or other equipment
- pack up, cleaning and security expectations
4. Insurance and Documentation
Hirers must provide any required documentation before approval, which may include:
- public liability insurance
- responsible person contact details
- activity details and risk information
Where applicable, private groups may be able to access one off no charge insurance through the Uniting Church Property Division process.
5. Confirmation of Booking Details
Before approval, all booking details must be confirmed, including:
- hire times, including setup and pack down
- spaces being used
- equipment required
- supervision arrangements
- opening and closing arrangements
- fees and bond, if applicable
6. Site Induction
A site induction is mandatory for all new hirers. The induction leaflet must be issued, and the hirer must confirm they understand:
- emergency procedures
- safe use of the site
- restricted areas
- cleaning and rubbish expectations
- security and lock up requirements
7. Booking Approval
A booking is only confirmed once:
- the application is approved
- required documents are received
- fees and bond are paid if required
- induction requirements are completed
Confirmed bookings will be entered into the church booking calendar.
8. Access to the Venue
Access arrangements will be determined by the church and may include:
- a church representative opening and closing the venue
- supervised access
- key issue where approved
Any key issued must be recorded in the church key register and returned as directed.
9. Use of the Facility
Hirers must:
- use only approved spaces and equipment
- supervise guests appropriately
- leave the venue clean and tidy
- report any damage or incidents
- follow all church conditions of hire
10. After the Booking
After the event or activity:
- the venue must be cleaned and left in good order
- furniture and equipment must be returned to agreed locations
- all rubbish removed unless otherwise arranged
- keys returned if issued
- any issues, breakages or maintenance concerns reported promptly

Edmonton Uniting Church reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings that do not meet venue requirements, safety expectations or the values of the church community.
